Love

The Bible gives us the reason why we love. It says "We love because he first loved us." 1 John 4:19. That is why we love.
This verse is often interpreted as the reason why we love God is because he first loved us. But, is that the correct interpretation? Read it carefully and you will notice that it says "we love" but stops short of saying whom we love.....

Is God really Love or just loving?

A while back I was typing on MS Word and part of what I typed was a verse from 1 John Chapter 1 that says “God is Love”. At the end I had to run my document through a spelling and grammar check. The computer stopped me where it says “God is love”. It didn’t like it. Instead, it suggested “God is loving”.

Privileged Communication

Attorneys have this right called privileged communication that no body else has. Everybody else has a responsibility to testify in court if summoned but lawyers have a legal right to hold back the truth when representing a client. This privilege is given to lawyers so that criminals can be honest with their lawyers without any fear of judgment.....

Still Trying To Impress?

As a Christian, I find it always tempting to try to impress God. I have to keep reminding myself, however, trying to impress God is a futile exercise. I should ignore the temptation to impress Him and channel all the energy to grasping the depth of His love and be impressed myself by that.....

The Bible After 2000 Years

......The bible is not outdated. In fact it is probably more relevant today than the time when it was produced. If there is any other book today written in Bible times, it is sitting in an antique books museum with a sign that says “Do Not Touch”. The Bible is the only book written so long ago that people are more than welcome to touch today.....

Love Vs Judgement

In our relationship with one another judgment and love are two things we just can’t have together. We can only have one or the other. If we choose to judge people, we will find it hard to love them. On the flip side, we find it hard to judge the people we really love.....

What Is Love Again?

Love is warfare. What? Yes, love is warfare. You want to excel in the way you love? You have to first win the war. Which war? The war between you and your ego. That is where the war is. Selfish people just can’t love. When they do, it is for selfish reasons.....

God Without Jesus

You see, even before Jesus died on the cross God loved humanity. God’s love for us didn’t start in the New Testament. But, when Jesus came, He made it so obvious. He made it easy for us to understand His love. That is why He said “This is the very best way to love. Put your life on the line for your friends” John 15:13 (MSG)

These last few weeks me and Weiny were shopping for some furniture. We were looking to buy a dining set. There are a lot of beautiful dining sets out there but almost all of them come with a buffet and a hutch that have glass. One of the main criteria we had was safety for the kids. So we couldn’t buy any of these beautiful dining sets that have glasses.....

John 3:16 is central to the message of the Gospel. It is probably the most quoted Bible verse and appropriately so. It says: “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life”.....

He Loved You First

Christianity is not about people trying to make it to heaven. It is about Jesus who came to take us to heaven. “The Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve and give His life as ransom for many” said Jesus in Mathew 20. This should be the foundation of your relationship with God. It is an unwavering foundation.....

Your Credit History

“Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another” Romans 13:8 NIV
Here Paul is talking about two kinds of debts. The first one is the money you owe. That should never be outstanding. Believe it or not God is pleased when you pay your bills on time. That is one of the millions of little things you can do to please the Lord. It is good for your credit history, anyways. The other kind of debt Paul is talking about is the one we owe the Lord.....
