Yesterday the sermon at Church was on Romans 12: The body of Christ, its parts and the functions of each part. Christ is the head and the Church is the body. Members of the Church are parts of the body.
As the sermon was going on this is what I was thinking: Each part of the human body has a specific function. However, doctors say that there is one part of our body that has no function. That is the appendix. I believe the body of Christ is made without the appendix. But, because of the way we conduct ourselves, it is possible for some members of the Church to be an appendix to the Church.
