The Bible is clear about who teaches and reveals the things of God. It says the following in 1 John 2:27:
"As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But....his anointing teaches you about all things...."
Even though we have pastors, teachers, Bible colleges etc...to help us learn the word of God, the Holy Spirit being the ultimate teacher is unquestionable. That is why Jesus said to Peter, "This was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven." in Matt 16:17 when Peter correctly identified Jesus as Christ, the Son of the living God.
Besides being on the teaching side, the Holy Spirit also is on the side of students working within us to help us open our hearts, understand, and practice the word of God as he did with Lydia in Acts Chapter 16.
You may be a teacher, a preacher or a pastor or you may just be a member at your local church. Whichever you are, it is the Holy Spirit and only the Holy Spirit that helps you either teach or learn. Without the Holy Spirit there is no teacher. Neither is there a student.
