These last few weeks me and Weiny were shopping for some furniture. We were looking to buy a dining set. There are a lot of beautiful dining sets out there but almost all of them come with a buffet and a hutch that have glass. One of the main criteria we had was safety for the kids. So we couldn’t buy any of these beautiful dining sets that have glasses. Because of that our options were limited and we had to search hard to find a good set without glasses. But my son has no idea that we are going all over the stores in Toronto to look for a dining set that is safe for him. In fact, he was complaining on some of those shopping trips because it was boring for him.
That reminded me of my father in heaven. Though I don’t always realize it and I may even complain, my father in heaven is always doing things to make sure that I am safe. Like my son I may have no idea what my father does, but I know he keeps me safe.
“There is none like God, Jeshurun, riding to your rescue through the skies” Deut. 33:26
