Cell Phone Vs Home Phone

Most of us today have a cell phone.  Compared to the home phone,  the cell phone is way more convenient.  The biggest advantage obviously that cell phones have over home phones is that you don’t have to be at home to use your phone.

There are two types of Christians.  Home phone Christians and cell phone Christians.

If you are a home phone Christian,  the only time you talk to the Lord is during your devotional time at home.  At the end of your devotional time you say “in Jesus name,  Amen” and leave as if the name of Jesus is given to you for closing prayers.  The truth is that the name of Jesus is given to us so that we can pray in His name and not close our prayers in His name.  If you are a home phone Christian,  your life is divided into two:  spiritual and secular.  God has nothing to do with the secular part of your life.  He has nothing to do with how you spend your day,  your school, your work, your friends etc...  When you go about doing your things everyday you make the decisions because this is now the secular part of your life.

If you are a cell phone Christian,  however,  you talk to the Lord anywhere and everywhere.  You understand that He is omnipresent and you are aware of His presence all the time.  You call upon His name in the subway (may be quietly because there are too many people around you).  You ask Him to help you in the middle of an exam because you are having a hard time with question number 6;  you pray in the shower,  you ask Him to help your friend Joe right on the spot when you see Joe doing drugs at the corner of Yonge and Dundas.

Now, what type of Christian are you? Cell phone or home phone?
