Do you get annoyed by sales agents and telemarketers?  I find them very annoying.  I never give them a chance to talk about the stuff they sell.  I keep saying I am not interested, I am not interested without ceasing until they give up.  However, even though I find them annoying, I really admire their persistence and aggressiveness.  I don’t know what their success rate is, but I can imagine that the more aggressive you are, the more successful you will be in sales.  Sales is for people who have the ability to persist and be aggressive.

It is sad to see that people today treat our gospel the same way we treat sales people. They get annoyed.  What is even more sad is that we are intimidated by that.  As a result we have devised many non-offensive outreach methods,  sometimes even at the expense of some important biblical principles.

Just like a sales agent would do I think we should learn to ignore the fact that some people get offended by our message.  If a hundred people get offended and one person gets saved,  it is still worth it.  That is how they did it in Bible times and I think we should keep it that way.
