"He is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end. He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth" Daniel 6:26
These are the words of King Darius. King Darius is the king who ordered that Daniel be thrown into the lions’ den. The bible records that early in the morning the king got up to see what had happened to Daniel in the lions’ den. He called out Daniel’s name and found out that the lions did not hurt Daniel. That is when he said the above.
Does the king know God? I doubt very much. That is why he referred to Him as "the God of Daniel". But, he had something to say about the God of Daniel. Daniel did not preach to the king. There was no need. The king who does not know God is the preacher because the bible says, "Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations and men of every language… in every part of my kingdom people must fear and revere the God of Daniel" Daniel 6:26
A question. What do people say about your God? Your classmates, colleagues, your boss, friends etc... What do they say about your God? What do they say about, not the God of the universe, not the God Abraham but the God of (INSERT YOUR NAME HERE)?
