You and Tomorrow
By Semere @ 10:31 AM :: 292 Views :: 1 Comments :: :: Faith/Trust, Wisdom, Jesus

Jesus talked about tomorrow.  In his sermon on the mount he said, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."  Matt 6:34

Tomorrow is probably the most worrysome day for human beings.  People are constantly worried about what tomorrow will bring.  Tomorrow scares people.  The uncertainities it comes with is sometimes overwhelming.

But there other other types of people as well who see tomorrow differently.  Paul was one of them.  In his message to the Philipians he talked about tomorrow and said,  "one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead" Phil 3:13.  He just can't wait for tomorrow.  As opposed to people who worry about tomorrow,  Paul has this forward looking attitude that just can't wait for tomorrow.

U see, when it is about tomorrow there are two types of people.  On one hand there are people who are scared of tomorrow and constantly worry about it.  On the other hand we have people like Paul who scare tomorrow,  who stretch ahead to catch it and subdue it.

Which one are you?

Perhaps, I found my self in the middle, I mean the more I am close to God or when I feel that I am having more of Jesus as the book says have Him more I scare tomorrow rather than being scared by tomorrow, so I would say the closenes we have at a particular time or in life at all governs our feeling about tomorrow! But for us, it would be much better to know that we are already on board that what ever is our feeling tomorrow should come nothing is there to stop tomorrow being coming, what we can do is reduce what ever is unnecessary from being happening in our life..................
