The words wisdom and knowledge are a lot of times used as if they are interchangeable. Are they? Probably not. I am not going to go to the dictionary to make my point. For my purpose here I don't care how the dictionary defines these words because I have a heavenly dictionary called the Bible. One of the things my heavenly dictionary says about wisdom is this:
"Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life." James 3:13
The study of biblical wisdom reveals a lot of differences between knowledge and wisdom. One of them is practice. knowledge becomes wisdom only when you practice it. So, if you want to know whether you have wisdom in certain things or not, don't check your knowledge, or your head. Check your life. Check your heart.
The other way I would put it is: Wisdom is when knowledge goes from your head down to your heart.
The people in Romans Chapter one had knowledge. They knew God but were not wise enough to glorify him and give thanks to him. That is why the bible says: "For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened." Rom 1:21
"Wisdom is proven right by her actions" Jesus
