Back in the 4th Century BC Aristotle told the world that if you throw a heavy and a light object the heavy object will reach the ground first. Today we know that is not true thanks to Galileo who came in the 16th century AD and proved Aristotle wrong.
Think about it though. The people who lived in the two thousand years between Aristotle and Galileo all believed Aristotle. Even though they could have easily proved him wrong by testing his theory, they just chose to believe him. For two thousand years the whole world believed that heavier objects fall first. Did they know for sure? No, but that is called faith.
Have you ever been told that as a Christian you are a faith person but others such as those who believe in science are not faith people. That is baloney. Everybody lives by faith. The only difference is in who or what your faith is in.
Faith can be in science, self, idol, baal, person, cow, tree, God, god or whatever you choose to have faith in.
Here is my question to you for today: Whom do you have faith in?
Your answer please.... |
