"Buy the truth and do not sell it" Pr 23:23
Now, that is a very profound and powerful statement that you can write a book about. It talks about buying the truth and keeping it forever. If I am negade, I buy stuff to sell. Everything I buy is to be sold. But ewnet aynegedibetm. You buy it and keep it forever.
So the question, then, is how much are you willing to pay for it? The answer is found in the Bible. Jesus was teaching about the kingdom of God in Matthew 13 and he said,
"The kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it." Matt 13:45-46.
Yes, whatever it costs. Ye ewnet waga ayTeyeqim. You have to buy it whatever it costs even if it means you have to sell everything you have.
Fortunately, Jesus has given us the truth for free. Free, however, doesn't mean cheap. It only means that it is paid for by someone who really cares for you. "You were bought at a price" 1 Cor. 7:23
The devil, however, will always be prowling around giving you hefty offers to sell the truth. But "don't sell the truth" pr 23:23..... because...... "wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her." Pr 8:11
