The Seat Belt Law
By Semere @ 9:06 AM :: 287 Views :: 3 Comments :: :: The word/The bible

I live in Canada.  In Canada, it is against the law to drive your car, your own car, without wearing a seat belt.  A seat belt is a device in your car that is meant to save your life in case of a car accident.  I have heard some ignorant people question the validity of the seat belt law.  Their argument is:  This is my life.  Why should I be forced to wear the seat belt?  The answer to that is, you fool, though you don’t value your life enough to wear the seat belt, the law values your life more than you do. Or may be…..you fool, it is because you are too reckless to wear the seat belt…you have 5 kids and a wife depending on you for their life.  If not for yourself, wear it for them.

The laws of God are like the seat belt law.  They are meant to save you and I from disaster.  God values our life.  He gave us life and a Bible to live it by much like an auto manufacturer would give you a car and a users’ manual.  Maintaining your vehicle as per the users’ manual and using it accordingly ensures prolonged life of your vehicle and optimal use.

You want to live your life to the fullest?  Pick this users’ manual of the human life.  Read it and live your life as per the manual.  The manual will teach you everything you need to know about living your life to the fullest.

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full”   Jesus
