“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9.
Jesus not only forgives but also purifies. Jesus not only trashes our sins but also empties the trash can at a dump site called Calvary. Like most dump sites Calvary is out of town. That is where all the trashes of our lives end up.
It sounds to me like Calvary is a place God has decided not to look at. If you have a sin that you don’t want God to hold against you, bring it to Calvary and leave it at the foot of the cross. He never looks in that direction. Then, the following will be true about you:
“Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not count against Him.” Psalm 32
