“Let’s fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith”  Heb 12:2

We live in what is called the information age.  Thanks to the internet, Google, Wikipedia and the likes there is just no lack of information at all.  The problem, in fact, is we have too much information that we get distracted by a lot of things we do not really need...... 

"Remember your creator in the days of your youth."  Ecc 12:1

This verse is a plea to all of us to remember our creator while young.  Notice how it says, "remember YOUR CREATOR"...  It is not about some distant god.  It is not just about the God who rules the universe.  It is about the one who created you,  yes you in person....

The Christians in Rome had a big debate about a meat sacrificed for idols.  They were arguing big time whether as Christians they are allowed to eat that meat or not as if their Christianity depends wholly on it.   Paul had to address the issue.  He said to them, “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” Rom 14:17. 

Christianity is not about do’s and don’ts, even though there are do’s and don’ts.  It is all about righteousness peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.....
