“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  Phil 4:6

In this verse I want you to pay particular attention to the word “guard”.  First of all, what does guard mean?..... 

the Bible says “Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.” Eph 4:26-27.  What does the sun have to do with our anger?  Nothing.  But the point is that you should settle your anger the same day before the sun sets.....

As a Christian,  I find it always tempting to try to impress God.  I have to keep reminding myself,  however, trying to impress God is a futile exercise.  I should ignore the temptation to impress Him and channel all the energy to grasping the depth of His love and be impressed myself by that.....
